Jinhua in Zhejiang province is planning to build a fishing camp in the Yanyu Lake scenic area, according to reports by local media.
The 3-billion-yuan ($419.78 million) facility will feature a water surface area of over 500 mu (33.33 hectares) and a storage capacity of over 1.5 million cubic meters, which is expected to accommodate up to 5,000 people for fishing competitions.
According to authorities, the fishing camp will function as a comprehensive water world that integrates tourism, leisure, performances, experiences, competitions, training, science education, and exhibitions.
It is expected to be put into operation by 2027.
A series of supporting facilities such as boutique homestays, restaurants, cafes, an aquarium, and a fishing tackle exhibition hall will also be built.
