Jinhua in Zhejiang province has over the past six years been striving to advance cultural exchanges with African countries as part of efforts to expand Sino-African cooperation.
Specifically, the city has held a series of cultural activities, such as the culture cooperation exchange week and the culture and tourism cooperation forum, to promote people-to-people exchanges.
Authorities have also invited African students to visit the city's ancient villages to learn about traditional Chinese culture, history and customs.
In addition, the local government has held art exhibitions, woodcarving seminars and Wuju operas to enhance art exchanges.
Jinhua has made a micro documentary on its economic growth, culture, delicacies, and rural vitalization, and it has been broadcast in more than 30 African countries, including Nigeria, Tanzania, and Kenya.
