The Jinhua Wuju Opera Troupe staged a performance in Kenya to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kenya on Sept 5.
The troupe was also invited to the University of Nairobi to conduct an art exchange, where it gave an opera lesson to students of the university's Confucius Institute.
Kenya is the 50th country in which the troupe has staged a performance.
Wang Xiaoping, head of the troupe, said that the performance will play a significant role in enhancing the friendships and cultural understandings between the two peoples.

Staff members at the Chinese Embassy in Kenya are making efforts to promote more cooperation between the troupe and the Kenyan Cultural Center. Meanwhile, the troupe is recruiting apprenticeships at the University of Nairobi.
These efforts will be vital to advancing the cultural exchanges between China and Kenya, according to Wang.
The troupe will set out for Ethiopia following its time in Kenya, which will open a new chapter in Sino-African cultural exchanges.
