Three rural museums in Dongyang, a county-level city in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, have been designated provincial rural museums, the Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau announced on Aug 24.
The three museums are the Lock Culture Exhibition Hall, the Qing Imperial Food Museum, and the Huanyu Film and Television Culture Museum.
Lock Culture Exhibition Hall
The Lock Culture Exhibition Hall, located in an ancient building in Dongyang's Huashui town, displays hundreds of hand-made locks from the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).
Qing Imperial Food Museum
The Qing Imperial Food Museum, situated in the city's Hengdian World Studios, features digital display items and experience areas and is a great place to learn more about the evolution of China's imperial food.
Huanyu Film and Television Culture Museum
The Huanyu Film and Television Culture Museum features fine traditional Chinese culture and intangible cultural heritages and displays dozens of items of historical handicrafts such as embroidery works and traditional Chinese attire.
Dongyang is currently home to four such museums, including a wine culture museum.
