The China Wood Carving Museum, located in Dongyang, a county-level city in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, is the first of its kind in China to showcase the history and culture of wood-carving techniques.
The 26,000-square-meter museum, which cost more than 500 million yuan ($69.02 million) to build, has an exhibition area of 16,000 square meters and more than 7,000 items.
The museum also conducts research and cultural exchanges. It is open from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm during winter and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm during summer from Tuesdays to Sundays.
