As a co-host city of the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games, the welcoming atmosphere is growing stronger in Wucheng district, Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province. People from all walks of life are expressing their enthusiasm and expectations for the upcoming Games in their own ways.
"The 19th Hangzhou Asian Games is about to begin, and our excitement is overwhelming," said a resident of Shafan village in Wucheng.
"As the Asian Games approaches, we organized this traditional clothing fashion show to show the world that all ethnic groups are embracing the Asian Games," said Yu Jinming, Party secretary of the village.
Just a few days ago, the "Welcome Asian Games" Joy Relay Run, organized by the Jinhua Wucheng Branch of the State Grid Power Supply, attracted more than 50 running enthusiasts.
In addition to various warm-up activities for the Asian Games, the event’s emblem, mascot, and promotional slogans can also be seen along the streets and alleys of Wucheng.
At the intersection of Shuanglong North Street and Jiefang West Road in Wucheng district, a pocket park has appeared to welcome the Asian Games, stunning everyone. The park is not only equipped with fitness equipment and recreational facilities, but also features many Asian Games-themed decor. It has attracted many citizens to take photos and engage in sports and fitness activities.
Wucheng district has already launched 20 projects with a combined investment of 1.16 billion yuan ($160.34 million) related to promoting the Asian Games.
