Jinhua is a manufacturing-oriented city dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises, and its traditional manufacturing industry accounts for more than two-thirds of its real economy.
The city's manufacturing industry covers extensive fields, with more than 62,000 enterprises and 18 industrial clusters generating annual output value exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.41 billion).
Digitalization of the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises is an important measure taken by Jinhua to implement the innovation and development of the digital economy. The city integrated policy guidance, platform construction, model leading and sample building to further push forward that change in small and medium-sized enterprises.
Jinhua has built three service platforms gathering more than 100 applications for small and medium-sized enterprise digital transformation and providing general and industrial solutions.
The city has been boosting platform resource sharing and carrying out a cultivation system to fulfill upgrading from the digital workshop level to that of intelligent and future factories, guiding the high-end, intelligent and green development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Jinhua has a well-developed county economy in which every county (city and district) has its advantageous industry. Targeting "one county with one industry", Jinhua has been building the transformation models of industrial enterprises in ten industries including hardware power tools, modern textiles and magnetic materials. So far, 162 enterprises have completed the transformation.
