A camellia-themed intangible cultural heritage fair was held in Xiazhangjia village of Wucheng district in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province from March 10 to 12.

The fair, which was an important part of the 14th Jinhua Camellia Festival that is being held from March 10 to 20, showcased some of the city's ICH items like palm fiber weaving, sugar painting, embroidery, knitting, and peach nut carving.

Wufang Ximan, an inheritor of embroidery techniques, said that she had made dozens of camellia-shaped knitted handicrafts for the fair.

Zhu Xiaodan, an inheritor of sugar painting techniques, said that she had sold hundreds of sugar paintings on the first day of the fair.

Visitors could also enjoy local snacks like osmanthus pudding and glutinous rice at the fair.

The fair had played an active role in boosting the district's cultural and tourism industry, said a local official.
