The Jinhuanan and Yiwuxi railway stations ensured the smooth operation of 57 Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight trains during the Spring Festival holiday from Jan 21 to 27.
As the only two platforms of the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight network in Zhejiang, the two stations worked 24 hours a day during the holiday to support the province's foreign trade.
On Jan 22, which was the first day of the Chinese New Year, Yiwuxi Railway Station sent a record 11 Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight trains.
Yiwu customs' figures indicate that 1,000 trains were operated in the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train service in 2022, increasing 15.3 percent year-on-year.
Seventeen direct international railway freight lines from Yiwu to more than 50 countries and 160 cities are currently in place.
