All competitions of the 17th Games of Zhejiang Province had concluded by the morning of Nov 27, according to the event's organizers.
This year's event saw 1,076 gold medals handed out for 910 disciplines in 34 sports, and over 11,000 athletes from around the province took part.
The event was held at 34 venues in Jinhua, including 13 newly-constructed venues and 32 upgraded ones, with a total investment of over 2 billion yuan ($299.81 million).
The first competition of the 17th Games of Zhejiang Province was held at the Jinhua Sports Center Gymnasium on July 25. The first stage of the Games was completed on Oct 3, during which 680 gold medal winners stood out in a total of 51 sports.
The second stage of the Games started on Nov 19, one day after the grand opening ceremony held at the Jinhua Sports Center.
The last 11 sports competitions were held at various sub-venues in Jinhua, such as road bicycle competitions in Pan'an, volleyball competitions in Yiwu, women's football competitions in Pujiang, archery competitions in Dongyang, rock climbing competitions in Yongkang, electric surfboard competitions in Wuyi, kayaking competitions in Wucheng district, equestrian competitions in Jindong district, OP-level sailing competitions in the Jinhua Economic Development Zone, and track and field and swimming competitions.
To further increase participation among the masses and enhance the influence of the event, popular sports such as bicycle motocross, vehicle models, and board games were also included.
The Games of Zhejiang Province is the largest comprehensive sports meet in the province and is held every four years. This is the first time a city in central or western Zhejiang has hosted a provincial sporting event.
