Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province is expected to see its cross-border e-commerce exports exceed 65 billion yuan ($9.75 billion) and cross-border e-commerce imports exceed 10 billion yuan by the end of 2022, according to the "China (Jinhua) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone Implementation Plan" recently released by the provincial government.
According to the plan, Jianhua will develop cross-border e-commerce with advantages in the market, manufacturing, logistics and open platforms.
Jinhua will also promote the establishment of overseas online marketing channels for industrial clusters such as small commodities, hardware tools, and outdoor garden tools, and create a global cross-border e-commerce network business center.
In addition, the city will promote the integration and development of three express channels, including Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight trains, to develop itself a logistics center with the lowest service costs in the country.
It will also make the most of its open platforms such as free trade pilot zones and cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones to develop an innovation center with the best policy environment.
The plan proposes that Jinhua build online comprehensive services platforms and offline cross-border e-commerce industrial parks to carry out coordinated development.
By 2024, the value of cross-border e-commerce exports in Jinhua is expected to exceed 100 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of more than 20 percent. The value of the cities retail imports through cross-border e-commerce is expected to exceed 20 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of more than 50 percent. A total of 100 public overseas warehouse service systems covering an area of over 2 million square meters will be built as well.
