Zhejiang Normal University East Stadium will serve as the host venue for football group matches during the 19th Asian Games.
The stadium was built in 2007 and covers an area of about 93,540 square meters. It has previously hosted the 12th Zhejiang University Games and the Zhejiang University Football Championship.
To qualify to host the Asian Games, 9,212 square meter of the stadium was renovated starting December 31, 2019, with a total investment of 113.42 million yuan ($17.45 million). The stadium now can seat 12,273 people
