Music lovers from Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, wrote a song called Stage for Realizing Dreams to welcome the upcoming 19th Asian Games, which will be held in Hangzhou from Sept 10-25.
The song, with the Chinese name "圆梦的舞台", was written by local musician Zhan Yushu and her friend Liu Xiaozhen and was meant to show respect for athletes from all over the world and welcome them to China for the event.
Zhan said that they titled the song Stage for Realizing Dreams because they thought sports venues are a place where athletes can pursue and realize their dreams. All athletes are winners whether they win a medal or not.
The music video for Stage for Realizing Dreams was shot at various landmarks in Jinhua, including the Jinhua Sports Center, Jinhua Light Culture Square, and Guzi City. It featured swimming, fencing, track and field, rhythmic gymnastics, and street dancing.
