The Dapanshan Museum in Pan'an county, Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, was recently designated as a national 3A-level scenic spot, local media reported on Jan 12.
Covering an area of 16,700 square meters, the Dapanshan Museum is a modern Chinese herbal medicine museum integrating popular science education, collections, research, cultural exchange, leisure and entertainment.
Themed around traditional Chinese medicinal materials, the museum focuses on the long history of Pan'an, folk customs, unique geology and landforms, Chinese herbal medicine, and the environment.

The museum is divided into indoor and outdoor sections. There is an herbal garden in the outdoor part of the museum, featuring herbal medicines like linden viburnum and lilium lancifolium.

The indoor museum focuses on Pan'an culture such as Yushan ancient tea farming and tea culture, the history and culture of ancient architecture, and Jyuxi Confucius culture through miniature models and scene restoration.
