Located in Wuyi county, the Xuanpingxi hydropower station has a total installed capacity of 6,400 kilowatts and is one of the largest hydropower stations in the southern mountainous area of Wuyi county.

To achieve carbon neutrality and reach peak carbon dioxide emission, the Wuyi power supply company under State Grid has been helping small hydropower stations improve its clean power generation capabilities.

Wuyi county is rich in hydropower resources. There are 88 hydropower stations with a total installed capacity of more than 70,000 kW.

From January to October this year, hydropower stations, photovoltaic power stations, as well as biomass clean energy facilities in Wuyi county generated 350 million kilowatt hours of electricity, accounting for 12.8 percent of the county's total electricity consumption. Hydropower generation was 197 million kWh, accounting for 55 percent of clean energy power generation.
