Gong Luying – a National Games gold medal winner from Jinhua – helped display the torch.

The torch, named "Climbing the Peak", draws inspiration from Jinhua's Beishan mountain culture to encourage the undefeated spirit – challenging limits to reach greater heights.

The torch body is divided into two sections. The lower part features double dragon and cloud design patterns, using a type of rosewood unique to Dongyang – a county-level city administered by Jinhua – and adopting Jinhua's traditional wood carving techniques. The upper section of the torch contains the shape of the emblem of the games.

Eleven main routes and 20 sub routes have been chosen for the torch relay. The torch's tour through various places in Jinhua will showcase the city's historical and cultural charms and its dynamic development.

The 17th Games of Zhejiang Province, which will kick off on Nov 18, 2022 and run to Nov 28, are being jointly organized by the Jinhua municipal government and the provincial sports bureau.
