Four regions in Jinhua recognized on provincial list

Dongyang, Yiwu and Yongkang – three county-level cities administered by Jinhua – recently made it onto a list of tourism demonstration destinations in East China's Zhejiang province, joining Wuyi county, also under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city. 

Dongyang city

Dongyang city – with a permanent population of 1.088 million – covers a total area of 1,747 square kilometers and has six sub-districts and 12 towns under its jurisdiction.

The city has also been dubbed as a Culture and Film City. The Hengdian World Studios there is the world's largest film and television shooting facility. Every year, 70 percent of costume dramas in China are filmed in Hengdian, making it the "Chinese Hollywood".

Yiwu city

Yiwu city is located in the central part of Zhejiang province, bordering the eastern edge of the Jinhua-Quzhou Basin. 

The Yiwu International Trade Market, boasting 75,000 stands in a business area covering 5.5 million square meters, is said to be the epicenter of the world's largest trading hub for small commodities. It attracts hundreds of thousands of sellers and buyers every day. 

Yongkang city

Yongkang has a robust industry cluster which has established eight hardware industries, including the household doors industry, power tools, electrical appliances and kitchenware. In recent years, it has also developed two emerging industries, one of which is the medical machinery industry. 

Wuyi county

Wuyi county covers a total area of 1,577 sq km. By the end of 2020, the county had a registered population of 345,174 people and had jurisdiction over 15 towns and three sub-districts. 

Wuyi was the first Chinese hot springs city in Zhejiang province named by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The hot springs in the county are famous for their heavy flows, high quality and suitable temperature.
