The city of Jinhua – located in East China's Zhejiang province – on Nov 6 signed a memorandum of friendship and cooperation with Krasnodar, the capital and administrative center of Krasnodar territory in southwestern Russia, the Jinhua Daily reported.
Krasnodar, which is Jinhua's first Russian sister city, is said to enjoy efficient and convenient transportation, with a superb natural environment. It is the Krasnodar region's largest industrial, transport, business, scientific and cultural hub – with a developed machinery manufacturing sector and an advanced higher education sector.
Jinhua and Krasnodar share highly complementary industries and there is said to be great potential for cooperation in manufacturing, logistics and education.
The signing of the memorandum of friendship and cooperation is expected to boost practical exchanges and cooperation between Jinhua and cities in countries along the Belt and Road, raising Jinhua's international profile.
