Zhejiang province in East China, a demonstration zone for achieving common prosperity, will further improve its rural economic interest distribution mechanism and expand its annual rural dividends to 10 billion yuan ($1.56 billion) by 2025, the local agricultural and rural affairs authority said on Wednesday.
"We will seek to help guide farmers to participate in the drive of agricultural industrialization based on their own will, helping them capitalize their rural land and forest operating rights, with annual rental and shareholding benefits arising from this exceeding 7 billion yuan by 2025," said Wang Tonglin, director of the Zhejiang Department of Agricultural and Rural Affairs.
Statistics show in the first three quarters of this year, rural per-capita disposal income in Zhejiang reached 28,474 yuan, a rise of 11.6 percent year-on-year.
