Held both on-site and online, the fair was co-sponsored by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and the Zhejiang provincial government – in a bid to display new varieties, technologies, forms of business, equipment and forestry cultivation models.

The exhibition attracted the participation of 1,878 Chinese and international enterprises that set up 3,009 international-standard stalls that covered an exhibition area of 70,000 square meters.

The event gathered more than 100,000 kinds of commodities from a wide range of industries. They included furniture and accessories, wooden structures and building materials, wood and bamboo crafts, wood and bamboo home and daily products, forest foods, tea, flowers and horticulture, as well as forestry technology and equipment.

The online exhibition was connected for the first time to Chinagoods, a platform launched by the Yiwu-based Zhejiang China Commodities City Group, to establish a "high-quality forest products exhibition and trade center". More than 340 enterprises registered with the online platform – which featured nearly 3,652 online products – and it recorded 1.32 million online hits during the event.
