The industrial park now has 12 studios in operation, on a plot covering nearly 50,000 sq m, with a total floor space topping 100,000 sq m.
To achieve its goal of becoming home to the world's most competitive film and TV industry center, the Hengdian Group began work on an industrial park in July 2018.

With investment of 3 billion yuan ($469.6 million) and a total floor area of 1,023 mu (68.2 hectares), when completed the venue will be home to 29 international high-tech studios.
The industrial park will be divided into two blocks, with one that houses standard studios, a shooting area for modern-day scenes, a film and television service center, a post-production center and hotels. The other block will be occupied solely by studios.
