Jinhua makes list of China's Top 100 Foreign Trade Cities

The city of Jinhua, in East China's Zhejiang province, ranked 18th on the list of China's Top 100 Foreign Trade Cities in 2020, released by magazine China Customs, according to the city's customs office.

The score for Jinhua was 73.12 points, ranking it 18th in China and third in the province – after Ningbo city on 8th spot and Zhoushan on number 15. 

In 2020, the total import and export value of Jinhua reached 486.66 billion yuan ($76.1 billion), up 15.3 percent year-on-year. Exports totaled 461.33 billion yuan, up 14.3 percent, while imports totaled 25.33 billion yuan, up 37.2 percent. The trade surplus for the year reached 435.99 billion yuan, up 13.3 percent year-on-year. 

In the first three quarters of the current year, Jinhua recorded total imports and exports worth 416.88 billion yuan, ranking it third in the province, with a year-on-year growth of 16.7 percent. Exports were valued at 379.95 billion yuan, up 11.4 percent, while import were 36.93 billion yuan, up 126.5 percent. The growth rate for imports for three consecutive months maintained first place in the province.
