Exhibition halls at the "Let's Go China" Rwanda Trade Services Center in Kigali, capital of Rwanda, have been displaying various kinds of made-in-China commodities and attracting numerous local purchasers.

The center is part of the Rwanda Digital Trade Hub that is affiliated to the eWTP Yiwu Global Innovation Center, a joint venture established by the Yiwu-based Zhejiang China Commodities City Group and the Hangzhou-based Alibaba Group in October 2019.

The eWTP was proposed by Alibaba in 2016 as a means of engaging small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in cross-border trade through a unified electronic operating system.

In June 2019, Yiwu authorities signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Alibaba to introduce the eWTP into Yiwu, which is known as the world's capital of small commodities.

The Rwanda Digital Trade Hub is home to 2,500-square-meter customs bonded warehouse for small commodities from Yiwu that will be sold in eastern African countries.

The "Let's Go China" Rwanda Trade Services Center started trial operation in July 2020 and its business facilities currently occupy 300 square meters.

At the Rwanda Digital Trade Hub, merchants can choose from a selection of Chinese products on display before picking up the products at the bonded warehouse. They can also carry out business negotiations with Chinese sellers through teleconferencing at the hub.

The Rwanda Digital Trade Hub also helps to introduce Rwandan products, particularly agriculture goods, into China.
