A Future Science City (FSC) has sprung up in Jinyi new district (Jindong district), Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, featuring a green urban design intended to combine industry and technology.

It is a cooperation project between the local government and China Jinmao, a domestically leading city operator. It opened on Oct 10 near Wuyi River, and was slated to function as a city parlor.
Guan Chong, deputy general manager of Jinmao East China and general manager of Jinmao Hangzhou branch, said that the focus of the FSC is on regional carbon reductions, with equal attention given to the development of digital technology and other industries.
It will provide comprehensive digital services to regional industrial upgrading and emerging industry cultivation, as well as build a leading industrial cluster.
Enterprises such as Syngenta Group, a leading global provider of agricultural science and technology and Chinese voice recognition firm iFLYTEK have opened new operations at the FSC.
The project is expected to become a future community benchmarking area, a digitally empowered model area, and a green and low-carbon demonstration area.
