The county-level city of Yiwu, located in East China's Zhejiang province, recently set up a facility of Zhoushan-Ningbo Port to expand its export trade.
Ningbo-Zhoushan Port is the world's largest logistics facility in terms of annual cargo throughput.

The establishment of the area in Yiwu has enabled the landlocked city to be more directly connected to Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. The new facility aims to carry out integrated sea-railway transport.
The logistics facility began operating on Sept 28, with a train loaded with 100 20-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of cargo departing Yiwu West Railway Station.
Goods quickly passed through the new facility, which performed declarations, inspections and customs clearances.
Yiwu and Ningbo – a major coastal city in Zhejiang – have co-developed a dedicated logistics services system.
By using digital technology, the system is reportedly able to automatically complete customs transits and release goods at Ningbo Customs as soon as it receives release instructions from Yiwu Customs.
Goods are then shipped to overseas clients, arriving there two to three days earlier than before, according to a local official.
