A high-tech company from Lanxi – a county-level city administered by Jinhua, in East China's Zhejiang province – recently received high-profile recognition for its advanced design concept for new energy buses.
Zhejiang PanGood Power Technology captured first prize in the growth group for the new energy automobile sector – at the Zhejiang Division of the 10th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition – held on Sept 24 in the province's capital, Hangzhou.
The event is regarded as one of the largest and most influential domestic innovation and entrepreneurship contests.
Zhejiang had 972 enterprises showing off their various business ideas at the event.
Among them, Zhejiang PanGood Power Technology is said to have presented an eye-catching project that provides technical solutions to the design for a low, full flat floor for new energy buses.
The company is reportedly a major provincial industrial startup founded in 2018. It has mastered key technology that enables electric drive systems to work within a small size, light weight and to high efficiency, according to a project leader.
The wheel-side drive system – once smaller in size – can then be installed on the inner side of the rear wheel. This is understood to make construction of a low, full flat bus floor possible.
One of the firm's designers said the aim was to realize a single-step entry for passengers and create a bus-riding experience as convenient as that in subways.
The competition reportedly ran concurrently with the Finals of the Eighth Zhejiang "Torch Cup" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
