A China-Europe freight train loaded with hardware products left the city of Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province, bound for five countries in Central Asia on Aug 25, the Jinhua Daily reported.

The hardware products, worth 28 million yuan ($4.3 million), were made by 10 manufacturers based in Yongkang, a county-level city administered by Jinhua.

"Recently shipping has been severely blocked since the COVID-19 pandemic, which is undergoing many twists and turns abroad, " said Zhu Minglei, manager of Zhejiang Nawas Industry and Trade Co Ltd, one of the suppliers.

"This train solved our urgent need for exporting our radiators and hot water circulation pumps to our customers in Central Asia," he added.

Yongkang has been dubbed as China's "hardware capital", with an annual imports and exports worth 42 billion yuan. In the current year, demand for Yongkang's exports reportedly expanded sharply, reflecting the increasingly numbers of foreign orders.
