Jinyi new district in the city of Jinhua was officially established in June 2020 as the fifth new district in East China's Zhejiang province. A number of road and railway projects, such as the Jinyi East Intercity Rail Transit and Jinyi Central Avenue are being planned and constructed in the district at present.
It has established traditional industries such as hardware measuring tools manufacturing, plastic and cotton products and building materials production, as well as emerging industries such as new energy vehicles and advanced equipment manufacturing.
Information Technology Application and Innovation Industrial Platform
It is composed of two blocks between Hangzhou-Jinhua-Quzhou expressway and Jinhua-Yiwu expressway, with a total planning area of about 4.9 square kilometers. With the lead enterprise Loongson Technology as the core, the platform has now introduced more than 50 upstream and downstream support enterprises in the information technology industry. It has also built production bases for chip research and development, cloud computing data centers, as well as facilities for software and hardware development and design.
Jinhua Science and Technology City
The planned area of the Jinhua Science and Technology City is 33.7 sq km. It will be divided into a science and technology innovation incubation area, a higher education and culture startup area and a high-tech industry development area. It will focus on introducing high-end research institutes and R&D centers. To date, the urban design of its core area has been completed.
Jinyi Comprehensive Bonded Zone
With a planning area of 1.79 sq km, enterprises located in the zone will enjoy four national policies covering duty free, bonded goods, tax refunds and exemptions. It will be divided into five big functional sectors: a port area, a bonded goods processing zone, a bonded logistics zone, an international trade area and a comprehensive service zone. The facility will focus on attracting the cross-border e-commerce industry, the bonded processing trade, modern commercial and trade services enterprises and other companies and projects.
Duohu Central Business District
The Duohu CBD is located within the first ring road of Jinhua City and at the intersection of the three rivers, covering a total area of 6.78 sq km. Its layout is configured as five centers, named the Central Zhejiang Economic Center, the Technology and Culture Center, the Regional Financial Service Center, the Urban Business Creativity Center and the Urban Ecological Recreation Center.
Jiangling High-tech Intelligent Manufacturing Zone
The Jiangling High-tech Intelligent Manufacturing Zone mainly produces high-end manufacturing equipment, automobiles and key components, electric vehicles and products from other industries.
Central Zhejiang Multimodal Transport Hub Port
The Central Zhejiang Multimodal Transportation Hub Port covers an area of more than 2 sq km, involving an investment of about 10 billion yuan ($1.54 billion). The infrastructure and facilities at the port meet the requirements for operating a multimodal transport complex that integrates roads, railways, waterways, sea and airports.
The temporary customs surveillance zone has been established at the port area, while Jinhua-Horgos (Alashankou)-Central Asia freight trains to five Central Asian countries and the Jinhua-Ningbo sea-rail combined transport services have been opened.
