Jiaxing unveils new policies to drive economic growth
Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province on March 18 introduced 52 measures across eight sectors, including education, technology, and advanced manufacturing.
Key initiatives include 10 new policies to boost manufacturing finance, expand the performing arts and sports industries, and reduce export risks. The city will also enhance funding, resource allocation, energy management, and talent development.
To improve public welfare, Jiaxing will invest an extra 394 million yuan ($54.25 million) in healthcare, elder care, and social services. The city also aims for a 5.5 percent growth in its modern service sector this year.
In foreign trade, Jiaxing will help businesses enter global markets, support emerging trade models, and increase financial backing for export-driven industries.
Looking ahead, the city plans to strengthen future industries by advancing core technologies, expanding industrial chains, and supporting innovative enterprises, securing a competitive edge in emerging markets.
