Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province is experiencing a boom in inbound tourism, fueled by China's expanding visa-free transit policies and streamlined border entry processes, Tide News reported on March 10.

On March 8, over 30 tourists from 16 countries, including Vietnam and South Korea, explored Puyuan Fashion Resort in Puyuan town, Tongxiang county-level city.

At a heritage-themed experience center, visitors saw traditional handicrafts, including intricate woodwork and bamboo weaving. Under the guidance of local artisans, they tried their hand at painting gourds, creating personalized designs with different colors and brushstrokes.

To enhance the experience for foreign visitors, Jiaxing is doubling down on improving services.

"We are encouraging travel agencies to train multilingual guides while ensuring hotels are well-equipped to accommodate international guests," said Zhou Yueqin, president of the Jiaxing Travel Agency Association.

She said that hotels have improved reception services and signage, and key attractions across the city have enhanced multilingual wayfinding systems.
