The 135th Canton Fair, which wrapped up on May 5 in Guangzhou, was a success for Jiaxing, which secured the second-highest transaction volume in Zhejiang province. Jiaxing's delegation expanded to 960 booths and 525 companies, receiving 39,000 visitors and over $310 million in intended deals.

The fair saw a record 246,000 overseas buyers, up 24.5 percent, indicating its growing global influence. In-person transactions reached $24.7 billion, a 10.7-percent increase.

Innovation was a highlight, with Jiaxing exhibitors presenting over 30,000 products, including 15,000 new items. Zhejiang Yili Machinery and Electric Co Ltd featured its fabric cleaning machine, and Zhejiang New Shengda Fastener Co Ltd showcased innovative stainless steel and composite screws.

Jiaxing Layo Import and Export Group Co Ltd's innovative designs and eco-friendly materials, along with the introduction of the cos cotton series at the fabric booth, highlighted the green transformation of traditional enterprises, resulting in $4 million in intent-to-purchase deals.

Winsun Import and Export Group Co Ltd presented new designs and materials like folding boxes, wide pull rods, and RPET at the fair, earning two CF Awards and attracting many customers, with intended transactions reaching $1.5 million.

The Canton Fair has evolved into a multifunctional platform, enhancing trade, information exchange, and innovation.

Meanwhile, the inaugural Guangzhou-Jiaxing Import and Export Commodities Fair was also held, achieving 2 billion yuan ($276.84 million) in intended transactions and further highlighting Jiaxing's growing economic influence.
