Chinese author Bao Shu has achieved noteworthy recognition in the world of science fiction literature. Recently, he was announced as a finalist for the prestigious Hugo Awards and the Chinese Nebula Awards.

Bao Shu's short story Tasting the Future Delicacy Three Times, featured in Galaxy's Vol 13: Secret Room in the Black Domain, earned him a nomination in the Best Short Story category at the 82nd World Science Fiction Convention in Glasgow, known for its celebrated Hugo Awards. The Hugo Awards are considered the highest honor in the science fiction literary community, often likened to the "Nobel Prize of Science Fiction."

Moreover, Bao Shu's talent shines brightly in the Chinese literary sphere as well. Two of his works made it to the finals of the 15th Chinese Nebula Awards.

Expressing his gratitude on social media upon learning of his nominations, Bao Shu acknowledged his exceptional luck and extended congratulations to his fellow nominees. He also thanked his readers for their unwavering support and enthusiasm.

The award ceremony for the 15th Chinese Nebula Awards is scheduled for May 18 at the Science Fiction Museum in Chengdu, Sichuan province. Bao Shu, who has previously won the Chinese Nebula Award four times, is eagerly anticipated to potentially secure further accolades this year.

Bao Shu, real name Li Jun, is a science fiction writer who grew up in Haiyan county, Jiaxing, Zhejiang province. He has authored numerous works, including novels and short stories, many of which have been translated into multiple languages.
