Foreign trade companies in Jiaxing are vigorously venturing into international territories. By February's end this year, Jiaxing had achieved exports totaling 51.77 billion yuan ($7.19 billion), marking a notable 14 percent year-on-year increase.

In January, over 300 Jiaxing companies ventured abroad, clinching orders worth $200 million. February witnessed 42 companies participating in the city's inaugural overseas exhibition in Japan. March saw 72 Jiaxing companies securing 97 booths at the 32nd East China Fair.

During the first quarter of 2024, Zhejiang Jiaxin Silk Co Ltd actively engaged in and showcased products at overseas exhibitions from London to Paris and even Las Vegas. Despite observing a decline in demand from European and American clients for new suppliers, they secured numerous new orders, indicating a promising upward trend.

Many foreign trade enterprises are targeting European and North American markets. For instance, in Nanhu district, six companies secured orders worth over $15 million by participating in influential international exhibitions in January. Last month, Nanhu district also organized another 30 companies to participate in exhibitions in Paris and Las Vegas, accumulating intention orders worth $19.84 million.

Looking ahead, Jiaxing is focusing on emerging markets such as the Middle East and Central Asia. In February, nearly 100 companies participated in a market resource promotion conference for the Middle East (Asia) market, facilitating deeper understanding and market penetration.
