Haining team shines at national speed roller skating championship

The Haining speed roller skating team achieved remarkable results at the 2023 National Speed Roller Skating Championship, which ended on Nov 19 in Huizhou, Guangdong province. The team won 12 gold, seven silver, and 10 bronze medals, ranking second in total team score.
The championship, hosted by the China Roller Skating Association, attracted 735 athletes from 158 teams across the country.
The Haining team sent 24 athletes, who performed excellently and overcame the challenges of many competitions.
Zhou Qing, Meng Zhe, and Zhang Ziyi, the national team members of the 2023 Asian Roller Skating Championships, also showed what they’re made of, winning multiple medals in individual events.
Zhou won three gold medals in individual events, Meng won two silver and three bronze medals, and Zhang won two bronze medals.
Junior group members, such as Wang Luyao, Xiao Qingyan, and Chen Haoyu, also won gold medals in several events. Wang Luyao even won four gold medals in individual events.
