Jiaxing to welcome literary masters for Mao Dun Literature Prize Night

Tongxiang, a county-level city in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, will host the 2023 China Literature Festival - Mao Dun Literature Prize Night on Nov 19, a grand event to celebrate the achievements of contemporary Chinese novelists.
Tongxiang is the hometown of Mao Dun, one of the greatest modern writers in China.
The Mao Dun Literature Prize, named after Mao Dun, is the first literary prize in China established by an individual's donation. It is also the most prestigious award for Chinese novels, and is being held for the eleventh time this year.
The 11th Mao Dun Literature Prize was revealed on Aug 11, and five works won the honor this year.
The winners of the prize, along with editors, publishers, judges, representatives of writers from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, representatives of online writers, and members of the China Writers Association, will gather in Jiaxing to receive the award and share their insights on literature.
The 2023 China Literature Festival - Mao Dun Literature Prize Night will also feature a series of activities that such as symposiums, forums, and exhibitions to showcase the development and achievements of new era literature in China and to recognize literary masters.
