Xitang, a picturesque ancient town in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, welcomed thousands of hanfu enthusiasts and traditional culture lovers on Nov 4, as the 11th Xitang Hanfu Culture Week kicked off.

The four-day event features more than 40 sub-activities, such as a hanfu live-action drama, script entertainment competition and lantern parade, to showcase the continuity and vitality of Chinese national traditional culture.

Xitang has held 11 Hanfu Culture Weeks since 2013, attracting millions of participants and generating more than 300 million yuan ($41.31 million) in related industry income. The event has become a grand occasion in the hanfu circle and a famous cultural and tourism event of Jiaxing and Zhejiang.

"Xitang Hanfu Culture Week is a dialogue between ancient and modern, and between the ancient town and the world. We welcome more like-minded people to join us and become inheritors of hanfu culture," said an official of Xitang town.
