She joined the provincial team one year later and became a member of the national team in 2014.

Li has devoted her best years to kayaking, achieving impressive results. She won sixth place in the women's K4 500m final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with her teammates. In the women's K4 500m final of the Canoe Sprint World Cup in Hungary in May, she and her teammates won first place. At the 2023 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships held in August, Li and her teammates qualified for the Paris Olympics.

Li is currently training hard in Dalian, where the weather is nice and sunny. She said that she is very excited about competing near her hometown. "The venue is in Fuyang, which is close to Jiaxing.
