As the Asian Games draw near, all kinds of flowers produced in Chang'an town in Haining, a county-level city of Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province, are being delivered to Hangzhou, the host city of the Games, adorning the city's roads, parks, green spaces and Asian Games venues.

"In early May, we started supplying all kinds of flowers for the Asian Games, including petunia hybrida, sage and cockscomb," said You Guojun, general manager of Haining Baisheng Horticulture Co Ltd. Every day, hundreds or even thousands of pots of flowers are sent to Hangzhou.

The company has received more than 200,000 orders for the Asian Games, and more orders are coming.

Flower enterprises in Chang'an town also provided all kinds of seedlings for Asian Games venues.

"We currently supply azaleas, maple trees and other varieties for the Asian Games, which are mainly used for decorations outside and inside venues," said Wang Jingjing, head of Taiqi Horticulture, a Changan-based company specializing in flowers and seedlings.

Chang'an town has been engaged in the flower industry for more than 40 years and has a planting area of more than 6,230 mu (415.33 hectares). Last year, the town's flower industry achieved an output value of 250 million yuan ($35.38 million).
