A total of 511 exhibitors from Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province received 19,055 visitors and more than $280-million-worth of intended orders were finalized at the 133rd Canton Fair, which concluded on May 5.

Zhejiang Yate Electric Appliance Co Ltd, one of the exhibitors at the fair, won nearly 20 million yuan ($2.89 million) in intended orders at the fair.

During the fair, the company attended a new product launch to introduce its newly-developed portable refrigerator to global customers and immediately received orders from Southeast Asia and Japan for 1,000 units, which are expected to be shipped in June, said Zhong Quanliang, sales manager of the company.

Jiaxing Wobo Trading Co Ltd, a maker of bathroom products, received two new orders worth more than $50,000 from Kosovo and Morocco at the exhibition site.

Wopo's garden bathtubs and massage bathtubs were highly popular at the exhibition, attracting many customers from the Middle East, South America, Southeast Asia, and Russia.

Several customers from the Middle East visited the company's factory in person and signed formal contracts. The first batch of goods will soon be arranged for production, said Zhu Xiaofang, general manager of the company.
