Pinghu: One of the largest down coat manufacturing bases in China
Pinghu, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, is one of the largest down coat manufacturing bases in China.
Fifty percent of China's down coats come from Pinghu.
Since the 1980s, Pinghu has been a hub for Chinese garment processing, with strong manufacturing and processing capabilities.
In 2011, Pinghu China Garment City was established to develop the down coat industry.
Since 2015, the production and processing capabilities of the Pinghu down coat industry have been gradually transformed into a brand development model led by original design.
Pinghu China Garment City is currently home to 2,200 business households. With the arrival of winter, it has entered peak season for down coat sales. Local packages have increased from 1,000 per day to more than 6,000 per day, and the daily passenger flow has increased from about 7,000 to 26,000 people per day.
