Chinese athlete Xu Huiqin won the championship in women's pole vault at the 2022 World Athletics Continental Tour Silver Label Tournament held in Lucerne, Switzerland on Aug 31 with a jump of 4.3 meters.

Xu was born in 1993 in Haiyan county, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province. She has been practicing pole vault since 2006.

Xu is a rising star in Chinese women's pole vault. At the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021, Xu, as the only Chinese athlete, participated in the women's pole vault final and tied for 8th place with a jump of 4.5 meters, the best performance by a Chinese player in the Olympic history of the event.
