Chief executive of Macao SAR visits Jiaxing

Ho Iat Seng, chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, visited Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province on Nov 5 for a tour of the Red Boat and the Nanhu Lake Revolutionary Memorial Hall.
A local guide gave Ho a tour of the Red Boat and the memorial hall as well as taught him the history and significance of the two historical places.
The Red Boat is where the first National Congress of the Communist Party of China was convened in 1921, marking the establishment of the CPC. The place is also where the term Red Boat Spirit was coined and such spirit highlights pioneering work, striving spirit, and dedication.

The Nanhu Lake Revolutionary Memorial Hall was established to manage the site of the first CPC National Congress. Presently, the memorial hall houses more than 10,000 artifacts, including revolutionary relics, and precious documents as well as valuable paintings and calligraphy works to showcase CPC's 100 years of history.
