GDP expands 11.3% in first three quarters

The GDP of Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province expanded 11.3 percent year-on-year in the first nine months of the year to 455.8 billion yuan ($71.38 billion), according to Jiaxing statistics bureau.
The increase rate represents 1.5 percentage points and 0.7 percentage points higher than national and provincial averages respectively.
The added values of the primary industry, secondary industry, and tertiary industry totaled 4.46 billion yuan, 244.47 billion yuan, and 202.87 billion yuan, respectively, during the Jan-Sept period with year-on-year increases of 3.1 percent, 13.9 percent and 8.9 percent.
The added value of industries above designated size totaled 186 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.4 percent, which represents a 6.6 percentage points and 1.8 percentage points higher than national and provincial averages.
The profits generated by industrial companies above designated size in the city amounted to 60.25 billion yuan, a 38.4 percent increase year on year.
The actual utilization of foreign investment in Jiaxing reached $2.75 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.6 percent.
The import and export volume of Jiaxing jumped 27.4 percent year on year to 271.03 billion yuan. The export value totaled 198.89 billion yuan, a yearly increase of 24.4 percent while the import value stood at 72.14 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 36.6 percent.
The per capita disposal incomes of urban and rural residents in Jiaxing amounted to 54,097 yuan and 35,963 yuan, respectively, year-on-year increases of 11.7 percent and 10.5 percent.
The city allocated 48.04 billion yuan from its fiscal expenditure to improve the wellbeing of local residents, accounting for 79.4 percent of the general public budget expenditure.
