The Hungarian Culture and Innovation Weeks in Jiaxing, sponsored by Jiaxing municipal government and the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, kicked off on Oct 22 and will run until Nov 7.

Szilard Bolla, consul general of Hungary in Shanghai, thanked Jiaxing for its support during the event and said that Hungary values its pragmatic cooperation with the city.

Bolla also expressed his hopes that the event will help Jiaxing residents get a further understanding of Hungary, and he promised to promote exchanges between Jiaxing and Hungary in more fields.

Jiaxing and Hungary have yielded fruitful cooperation results in trade, cultural exchanges, and educational cooperation.

With the help of the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, Cegléd, a city in Hungary, has forged an economic partnership with Jiaxing. Jiaxing University has cooperated with the University of Gyór, and the first exhibition pavilion of Hungary-made commodities has been established in Pinghu International Import Commodity City.
