Jiaxing Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province signed cooperation agreements on 34 projects, worth 31.5 billion yuan ($4.93 billion), at the seventh International Economic and Trade Symposium, which was held on Oct 18.

These projects include 25 foreign-invested ones, with their investment amount accounting for 66 percent of the total investment amount. They involve the smart manufacturing, healthcare, medical device, and artificial intelligence industries.

Jiaxing Economic and Technological Development Zone will partner with Huawei to construct an AI industrial park, an AI innovation center, as well as an online AI service platform.

The event was attended by business people from 18 countries and regions, including France, Singapore, and Japan, as well as 13 foreign diplomats in Shanghai, including Jakob Linulf, consul general of the Kingdom of Denmark in Shanghai.

Rupert Hoogewerf, chairman and chief researcher of Hurun Report, said at the event, "For me, Jiaxing is the core area of East China and boasts numerous advantages."

Hoogewerf added, "We have chosen Jiaxing as the city to host the Hurun Global 500 CEO Conference, bringing together Chinese executives from the G500 to discuss opportunities in the city."
