The Chengdong branch of the Jiaxing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, opened on March 28, local media reported.

The Chengdong branch, co-built by the Jiaxing Hospital of TCM and the Jiaxing Rehabilitation Center for People with Disabilities, is divided into four sections – a comprehensive outpatient department, a rehabilitation center, a health management center, and a testing center.

There are currently seven departments available at the hospital: internal medicine, orthopedics, ophthalmology, gynecology, acupuncture, massage, and rehabilitation.

The hospital has also opened specialist clinics for light-headedness, sleep-related issues, infantile massage, and acupuncture for obesity.

"The branch hospital will share medical resources with the Jiaxing Hospital of TCM," said Zhu Fuxiang, vice-president of the Jiaxing Hospital of TCM, who added that renowned medical experts from the Jiaxing Hospital of TCM have opened clinics at the new hospital.

The 2021 Jiaxing TCM Culture Festival was also unveiled that same day to further promote TCM among local residents through lectures, free clinical treatments, and exhibitions.
