The first "Environmental Access AI Intelligent Assessment Platform" in China, powered by the DeepSeek large model, went live in the Taizhou Bay New Area on March 5.
This platform enables Otor Technology Co to swiftly assess and register businesses for environmental compliance using its AI-driven Q&A system and the "Guidelines for Environmental Access in the Plastic Products Industry".
The platform streamlines the assessment and registration process to just 10 minutes, saving 20 to 40 days and cutting costs significantly.
"Previously, we had to hire third parties to prepare materials and undergo a month-long approval process," said Cui Jinling, the company's administrative director. "Now, we can register on the platform and turn to AI while facing problems, bringing substantial cost savings to us."
After receiving an environmental compliance information sheet, the company can now proceed with a project producing 3,000 metric tons of plastic food containers annually. "We will guide the company in maintaining pollution prevention and control standards during project construction according to the compliance information sheet," said Guan Chenxin from the Taizhou Bay New Area Branch of the Taizhou Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau.
The platform exempts 10 industries for the first batch, including plastic products and general equipment manufacturing, from environmental impact report approvals, benefiting over 70 percent of enterprises in Taizhou Bay New Area.
