Eight athletes from the shuttlecock team of Linhai Taozhu Middle School in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, participated in nine events of Group A. After four days of intense competition, they earned five gold, three silver, and one bronze medal.
This is the school's best performance in a national competition since it established its shuttlecock team in 2007.
The National Youth Shuttlecock Championship is the most prestigious youth shuttlecock event in China. Co-hosted by the Social Sports Guidance Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Chinese Shuttlecock Association, the Jiangsu Sports Bureau, and the Jiangsu Sports Federation, the event attracted 37 teams and 417 athletes from more than 20 provinces and cities across China, including Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Shanghai.
The competition featured three events: net shuttlecock, freestyle shuttlecock, and speed shuttlecock, divided into three categories — Group A, Group B, and Group C — based on the participants' ages.
