The plant protection machinery sector in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, is experiencing a significant boom in exports this year.

Taizhou Feiben Machinery Co has seen an unprecedented surge in the export of pump heads, and its production lines are currently operating at maximum capacity to meet soaring demand, said Pan Wenping, the company's executive director.

Taizhou holds a prominent position as a national production base for plant protection machinery, with its products reaching over 100 countries and regions worldwide.

Jinqing town in Luqiao district is one of the areas in Taizhou where plant protection machinery products are relatively concentrated. Statistics reveal that the export of plant protection machinery in this region increased by around 20 percent in the first half of this year.

Demand for products used to clean and protect yards, like lawn mowers, trimmers, and edgers, is particularly high in the European and North American markets, driven by a growing interest in outdoor activities.

As the industry evolves, there is a notable shift towards new-generation plant protection products powered by new energy resources. "Overseas customers are increasingly embracing these innovative solutions, leading to a continuous rise in orders since the end of last year," said Pan.
