With the 2024 Paris Olympics on the horizon, Sanmen Hongqiao Rubber and Plastic Technology Co in Taizhou, Zhejiang province is witnessing a substantial surge in overseas orders.

From January to May this year, the company's outdoor leisure products destined for France grew by around 15 percent.

"The Olympics will draw many tourists to Paris, and our products can meet demands for road safety, so orders are increasing," said Ran Congxu, the company's administrative director.

The rubber traffic facilities industry is one of the top industries in Sanmen county, with two-thirds of domestic products in the industry coming from Sanmen.

As one of the leading enterprises in this industry, Hongqiao specializes in the production and export of plastic and rubber products, road safety facilities, and outdoor products, sold to over 100 countries and regions, including Southeast Asia, Europe, and Africa.

One of their representative products, a blow molding water-filled barrier, which has been used in domestic and international events like marathons, has caught the attention of French clients.

"After being filled with water, the barrier can stand firmly on the road to separate lanes and divert vehicles and pedestrians, enhancing road capacity," said Ran. Through process improvement and equipment enhancement, the product has achieved international leading levels in terms of both quality and design.

Hongqiao will seize the Olympics opportunity to enhance its product visibility and promote its transformation, according to Ran.
